Found Flora Work

River Maps

Dimensions variable. Approximately 1000mm x 1000mm each

This work is an aesthetic documentation of flora growing down by a portion of the Tutaekuri and the Tuki tuki Rivers in Hawke’s Bay.

The artwork embodies qualities of drawing and sculpture, also using light and shadow as visual components.

The grid formation throughout the work refers to ways of mapping, and the materials themselves could refer to both environmental concerns and as a metaphor for colonisation.
