Found wood, objects and fuana. Resin.

Having been displaced from my studio following the flooding in Cyclone Gabrielle I made these works from a temporary studio in a friends garage from materials that I had originally collected from local beaches in Hawke’s Bay before the cyclone, that subsequently also survived the flood in my studio. By adding a resin component with coastal fauna and other man-made objects found on the coast into these structures, these works also invite consideration of human impacts and how climate events are destroying ecosystems and displacing all creatures.
